Happy Holidays!!!

Hi all,

Just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.  I hopr the upcoming year brings you great joy and peace.  For the photographers out there I pray that you will continue to grow in your passion and find success in your chosen endeavor.  I plan on releaseing some equipment reviews and will be posting up some photos from recent photo shoots that I have neglected to update my blog with.  One of my New Years resolutions is to stay on top of the blog more and kep some interesting posts coming your way so stay tuned and thanks for checking in.

Joe McNally - Empire State Building

Check out this video done of a famous shoot by one of my heroes of Photography Joe McNally. Joe scales the Empire State building to get the shot. His determination to get the shot no matter what is very obvious in this clip. He appears to be shooting with an F5 which is a 35mm film camera so there are no little windows to show you what you just took so you can do it again. I have met Joe in person not that he would remember me nor would I expect him to but he is one heckuva guy and an excellent teacher.

Walking on Water

Mind over matter is a common saying but I would have not believed this if I had not seen it here.  there are so many great life lessons to be seen and heard in this video.  Believe in yourself and your abilities and you too might walk on water.  Check it out and stay sexy ya'll.

Well start selling those DSLR's now the first card in the house of digital image capture is falling.  Those old  Canon EOS 1V's and Nikon F6's might just start to skyrocket in price soon.  I'll take my Mamiya II anyday.  Long live film.  Check out the article below where Kuwait has now banned the use of digital single lens reflex cameras in public places.

Social Media Gone Very Bad!!!!

Amazing Retro Ink Press Printing that blows the mind,

In a day when we expect to immediately see the image we captured in ever increasing pixel density I find a video that demonstrates a completely hand done printing process to be extremely refreshing.  The final quality of this print was mind blowing try capturing that kind of dynamic range with even the most expensive of digital backs.  Paul Taylor of Renaissance Press is truly an artisan of the highest degree and the fact that he is keeping this process alive.  Watching his hands at work as the flew across the metal plate etching was amazing.  Please watch and enjoy and as always stay sexy!!!
